KEY TECHNOLOGY WARRANTY REPAIR POLICY AND SERVICE
Key Technology is only under obligation to offer the following Warranty Repair and Services except those authorized formal documents in written form. Any other warranty repair and services in non-written form is regarded as unauthorized warranty by Key Technology (China) Limited., to which Key Technology is under NO obligation. Remark: Hereinafter Key Technology refers to Key Technology (China) Limited.
WARRANTY REPLACEMENT
1. Key Technology offers free replacements for complete products or parts within 90 days:
A. Scope:
a. Hardware damage during shipment.
b. Hardware damage under normal using according to standard operation criterion of Key Technology.
c. Other defects authorized by Key Technology.
B. Requirements:
a. Model No. P.O. No. PI No. , Shipment date etc.
b. Provide a detailed description of any defects and cause, including a literal description and picture illustrations.
c. The Original Key Technology packaging if possible.
C. Key Technology may refuse to replace the product for any of the following reasons:
a. Without intact Key Technology label, or serial number has been removed or defaced, or SN cannot be clearly identified from purchaser.
b. Any illegal disassembling, repairing, refitting etc .such as if the products are maintained or modified by any maintainer unauthorized by Key Technology.
c. If the products are maintained or modified by any maintainer unauthorized by Key Technology.
d. Any defects that resulted from improper storage or unsuitable working environment.
e. Damage or loss of Key Technology products because of natural disaster (such as earthquake, fire or flood) or other external causes, social unrest or governmental polices etc.
f. The product or part that has been modified to alter functionality or capability without the written permission of Key Technology.
g. Any lack of components, components damage from purchaser.
Key Technology's responsibility for product defects is limited to repair or replacements service as determined by key technology in it sole discretion, key technology is not responsible for direct, special, incidental or consequential damages resulting from any breach of warranty or condition.
2. Replacement Flow:
a. Apply for a valid RMA number from Key Technology.
b. Key Technology will checks up whether the product is qualifies for a replacement and will responds within one working day via fax or e-mail. (This response is not the final one. If the returned products do not qualify for replacement, Key Technology has the right not to replace them and the products will be returned to the customer or disposed of under negotiation.)
c. Purchaser should send the defective products, with the original packaging to Key Technology after obtaining the valid RMA number. Purchaser prepays the freight charge from its local city to ShenZhen, P.R.China.
d. Within 1 week after the receipt of the returned products, Key-Tek will send the replacements to the purchaser. Key Technology will prepay the freight charge from ShenZhen to purchaser's local city.
3. Relative Explanation:
a. Key Technology will send the returned products without intact label or components back to the address of the purchaser.
b. Purchaser may help Key Technology to find out and diagnose the problem and learn more about the installation local.
c. Key Technology recommends that you return products by reputable freight forwarders in order to avoid damage or loss during shipment.
d. Key Technology is NOT responsible for any damage or loss of products during shipment.
f. During the warranty replacement period, Key Technology reserves the ownership of the defective components after replacement.
WARRANTY REPAIR
1. Key Technology offers free repair for the following products within 1 year, but additional warranties are available at additional cost:
A. Scope: Defects in materials, workmanship and functionality.
B. Requirements:
a. Model No. P.O. No. PI No. , Shipment date etc.
b. Intact Key Technology label, so the model number and SN can be clearly identified.
c. Provide a detailed description of any defects and cause, including a literal description and picture illus trations.
d. Other description need for Key Technology.
C. Key Technology may refuse to offer free repair for following situations:
a. Without intact Key Technology label, or serial number has been removed or defaced, or SN cannot be clearly identified from purchaser

c. If the products are maintained or modified by any maintainer unauthorized by Key Technology.

2. Operation Flow of repair:
a. Apply for a valid RMA number from Key technology.
b. Key Technology will check whether the product qualifies for replacement and will respond within one working day via fax or e-mail.
c. Purchaser should send the defective products with original packaging to Key Technology after obtaining the valid RMA number. Purchaser prepays the freight charge from its local city to ShenZhen, P.R.China.
d. Within 1 week days of receipt of the returned products, Key Technology will send the replacement to the purchaser. Key Technology will prepay the freight charge from ShenZhen to the purchaser's local city.
3. Relative Explanation:
a. If the old warranty repair period of the returned products is more than three months, the repaired product will have the same warranty period as the original product. If it is not more than three months, the repaired product will have a warranty period of three months from the time of repair or replacement.
b. Key Technology is under NO obligation to provide any temporary replacement during the repair.
c. Key Technology is NOT responsible for any damage or loss of products during shipment.
d. During the warranty replacement period, Key Technology reserves the ownership of the defective components after repair.
OUT OF WARRANTY
1. Warranty exclusions include any of the followings, Key Technology can repair, however additional parts and labor charges will apply:
a. Out-of-warranty or out-of-warranty-scope products abnormally running without any physical damage or products with hardware damage that is out of warranty replacement or the scope of replacement.
b. Following situations of products that are out of warranty replacement but not out of warranty repair:
c. Without intact Key Technology label, so the model number or SN cannot be clearly identified.
d. Physical damage (including, but not limited to, damage of communication cable of products, damage of other parts ).
e. Products are maintained or modified by any maintainer unauthorized by Key Technology.
f. Defectiveness resulted from improper storage or unsuitable working environment.
g. Damage or loss of Key Technology products because of natural disaster (such as earthquake, fire or flood), social unrest or governmental polices etc.
The exact charges for out-of-warranty repair of a Key Technology products which will be based on the actual situation of the products, and the shipping charges of come-and-go will be at purchaser’s account.
2. Operation Flow of Repair
a. Return Material Authorization (RMA) number is required prior to the return of an out-of-warranty product to Key Technology. Failure to obtain an RMA number can result in rejection of the inbound shipment by Key Technology and return of the product to the customer at the customer's expense.
b. Upon RMA approval, Key Technology will e-mail customer the RMA number and shipping instructions to return the product to the address noted for repair. Customer is responsible for freight charges to the repair facility.
c. Purchaser should send the defective products to key Technology within 30 days after obtaining the valid RMA number. If products are not received within the stated thirty (30) calendar-day period, the RMA number is invalid and is officially canceled. Customer must obtain a new RMA number for any canceled RMA.The product must be packaged appropriately for safe shipment and sent freight prepaid. Use of original packaging is recommended.
d. Upon completion of repair/replacement, Key Technology will return the product to Customer. Customer will be responsible for return freight cost and may request either a specific freight method which will be added to their invoice or request billing to their customer account if provided. Risk of loss transfers at point carrier picks up product from Key Technology for return to customer.
3. RELATIVE EXPLANATION:
a. Maintenance cost is comparable to the actual quotation given by Key Technology.
b. For unconfirmed products, Key Technology will ship them back to the purchaser.
c. Repaired components enjoy a warranty repair service of one year.
d. Responsibility for loss/damage does not transfer to Key Technology until the returned product is received by Key-tek or a Key-tek authorized representative.
Note: the company reserves the right of final interpretation of the after-sales service regulations of the product.
